The new Benchmate C8-M Microcentrifuge enhances scientists’ research with user-friendly features, safety-oriented technology and a robust design. The C8 Benchmate Microcentrifuge has a unique closed rotor for quiet operation, carbon dust insulation and a safety drain for easy liquid drainage. The combination of all of these features makes this unit one of the most advanced microcentrifuges on the market. The new magnetic rotor design allows the user to easily switch between the microcentrifuge tube rotor and PCR rotor with no tools.

The BenchMate C8-M makes quick spins even easier than they have ever been. The device itself is compact and convenient, making it easy to operate and fit on a lab’s benchtop. The pop-up lid opens compactly on a hinge and provides easy access to load/unload samples. Furthermore, the rotor itself is angled to maximize space in the centrifuge. The BenchMate C8-M Microcentrifuge is operated by closing or opening the lid. Once the device is on, closing the lid starts the spin, and opening the lid ends the spin. The Electronic Safety Brake ensures that centrifugation motion is stopped almost immediately after the lid is opened – protecting users from any moving parts. Furthermore, each Oxford Lab Products BenchMate C8-M Microcentrifuge is shipped with two rotors: a microcentrifuge tube rotor and a PCR tube rotor. These are easily interchangeable due to the magnetic attachment system. The rotor base features a secure magnetic attachment that allows users to conveniently change out the two rotors without needing to screw or unscrew the currently attached rotor.

What are Microcentrifuge Tubes?

Microcentrifuge Tubes provide stability for all of a lab’s centrifugation protocols and requirements. All Capp Expell Microcentrifuge Tubes are certified to be sterile, DNase, RNase, Pyrogen free and withstand up to 20,000 x g. CAPP Expell Microcentrifuge Tubes are manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene (PP). Capp Expell Microcentrifuge Tubes are graduated microcentrifuge tubes that are available in 3 volume sizes: 0.5 mL, 1.5 mL, and 2.0 mL. Capp Expell Microcentrifuge Tubes are manufactured in high-quality molds for consistently faithful products without blemish or inconsistency.

The microcentrifuge tube, often referred to as the Eppendorf Tube, is essential to any lab that handles small volumes of liquid. In life science and biological labs, these little plastic tubes are used for all sorts of applications from sample storage to running reactions and spinning down or separating samples. Whatever experiments you are conducting, if you work with small volumes of 2 mL or less you will likely need these tubes in your lab.  All microcentrifuge tubes are compatible with any of the microcentrifuges and centrifuges offered at Pipette.com.
